Overview
A modern, no-code website builder for Sweap that lets event organizers create custom registration sites without technical skills. A drag-and-drop interface with modular components replaced a rigid, single-form flow.
Problem
The previous system relied on checkbox-based form selection, with real constraints:
- Limited customization and no real-time preview
- Rigid workflows that required post-submission edits
- Outdated templates lacking modern flexibility
- No reusable, modular components
Design process
I restructured the information architecture around modular templates and reusable components while staying compatible with existing systems. Competitive analysis of Webflow, Wix, and Squarespace informed the drag-and-drop patterns, and priority guides defined three interface zones — a left sidebar for content and styling, a top header for key actions, and a main canvas for real-time editing.
Modular editing
Core features included draggable modules (registration forms, speaker profiles), in-preview editing on hover, and reorderable sections with hide-without-delete. Updates applied instantly, with no refresh. A global styling framework standardized fonts, spacing, radii, and color, while advanced users could extend with custom HTML/CSS.
Enterprise features
Account-level storage of speaker and partner profiles let B2B2C users reuse content across multiple events without re-uploading assets.
Testing & impact
Three rounds of testing — internal, client, and final polish — addressed placement, clarity, and functionality, adding sidebar previews and demo content inside modules. The result modernized website creation with better usability, more design flexibility, and a faster workflow for event teams.
